French-inspired Estate in Beverly Park Seeks $48.5 Million Buyer

ast week's top signed contract in Los Angeles County was a French Chateau-style mansion in Beverly Hills' Post Office neighborhood, according to the Eklund Weekly Luxury Report LA. The 16,000-square-foot estate at 51 Beverly Park Way boasts nine bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, with an asking price of $48.5 million. Located on nearly two acres, the property features antique French chandeliers, seven fireplaces, and marble and travertine floors.

    The sellers are Larry Cohen and his wife Paulette, and Compass' Sally Forster Jones has the listing since January. The estate also includes a billiard room, theater, tennis court, gardens, and vineyard.

    In second place was a Mid-Century home at 2630 Harlesden Court in Nichols Canyon, listed for $12.9 million. With six bedrooms and nine bathrooms across 9,000 square feet, the property sits on over an acre with a separate guest house, recording studio or office space, pool, and theater.

    The seller is a family trust managed by a Santa Monica-based wealth management firm, and the listing is held by Rayni and Branden Williams of Beverly Hills Estates since mid-August. Last week's 27 signed contracts in L.A. County totaled $208 million in volume, up from 20 contracts worth $121 million the previous week.
