riedland Properties has acquired a significant piece of the Duell family's portfolio on Manhattan's Madison Avenue for over $30 million. The five-story building at 673 Madison Avenue, which has been home to Viand Coffee Shop for 45 years, was sold as part of a larger nine-building portfolio valued at around $300 million. The Duells initially planned to sell the entire portfolio but have since decided to split it up and sell each property separately.
Friedland Properties already holds a substantial presence on Madison Avenue, with ownership of the building next door at 675 Madison Avenue and other properties in the area. This latest acquisition adds to their holdings, further solidifying their position as one of the largest owners on the street. A CBRE team led by Daniel Kaplan and Darcy Stacom represented the sellers in the deal.
