Gary Keller inspires KW agents: Building empires through hard work

Housing Market Turnaround: Keller Predicts Summer 2026, But Winners Will "Get to Work"

G
ary Keller, co-founder and executive chairman of Keller Williams, addressed the housing market's uncertain future at Mega Agent Camp. He predicted that a significant shift won't occur until summer 2026, urging agents to focus on long-term production rather than individual years.

Keller emphasized that delivering exceptional service is crucial but also stressed the importance of learning to work with AI. He noted that while 88% of buyers used an agent in 2024, new data suggests a growing acceptance of AI tools, with 29% trusting agents and AI equally.

The economy's current state was also discussed, with Keller describing it as "not in recession, but real estate is." He highlighted inflation, unemployment, and stagflation concerns. The Fed faces a difficult decision: lowering interest rates to boost the economy, which could raise inflation and unemployment.

In the housing market, Keller believes an inflection point is approaching, with clearer signals expected within a year. Until then, agents must adapt and "get to work." He encouraged them to treat real estate sales as a job, having a plan for lead generation and leveraging AI to gain an advantage.
