M
atthew Winnick, co-founder of True Classic and son of late billionaire Gary Winnick, is putting his Hancock Park home on the market for $8.999 million. The French Normandy-style property spans 6,200 square feet on a 15,000-square-foot lot, which was once owned by former Los Angeles City Council member John Ferraro. Matthew and his wife Karen purchased the home in 2021 for $6 million.
The listing is held by Rodeo Realty's Jimmy Heckenberg. This isn't the first high-profile real estate venture for the Winnick family; Matthew's parents, Gary and Karen, listed their Bel-Air estate, Casa Encantada, last year for a record-breaking $250 million. Although the price was later reduced to $195 million, it remains one of the most expensive listings in the state.
Gary Winnick, who passed away in November 2023, had an estimated net worth of $2 billion and made his fortune through Global Crossing and the Winnick & Co. family office. Matthew has been making headlines recently for a lawsuit against the Hillcrest Country Club, alleging racial discrimination and other issues.
