Google Expands Texas Footprint with 1.1 Million Square Feet Acquisition

Google leases 1.1M sq ft warehouse in Fort Worth's Silver Creek Business Park for cloud and data center expansion.

G
oogle has leased a massive 1.1 million-square-foot warehouse in Majestic Realty's Silver Creek Business Park in Fort Worth, Texas. This deal is part of the tech giant's broader plan to invest $1 billion in the state to support its cloud and data center infrastructure. The property, located at 9449 Silver Creek Road, is situated within a 520-acre business park that has become a key hub for logistics and data-related operations.

The lease aligns with Google's ongoing infrastructure development in Texas, said Cody Gibbs, CoStar's director of market analytics. This deal follows another significant lease by Google in the Northlake 35 Logistics Park, which is expected to be operational by 2026. Both facilities will store data center materials in support of Google's existing campuses in Midlothian and Red Oak.

As Google expands its presence in Texas, it's positioning itself as a major player in the state's growing data center market. The Dallas-Fort Worth region is a significant hub for data centers, with Avison Young ranking the metro No. 4 nationally. Google's leases are among the top five largest industrial deals in Texas so far this year, according to Gibbs.

Google acquires 1.1 million sq ft in Texas, expanding US presence.
