appy Belly Food Group Inc. is making waves in the Canadian food scene with its ninth franchise agreement and real-estate location for Yolks Breakfast, a boutique restaurant brand serving up delicious breakfast, brunch, and lunch options.
At the helm of this expansion is Sean Black, Chief Executive Officer of Happy Belly, who sees the growing demand for breakfast as a prime opportunity. "We've been riding the breakfast wave since acquiring Yolks," he says, referencing the brand's successful launch in Ottawa's Glebe neighborhood and its subsequent franchised agreement in Richmond Hill.
Tsawwassen is the latest city to join the Yolks family, with the new location expected to open in Q4 2025. This marks Happy Belly's fourth Yolks spot in British Columbia and seventh in Western Canada, solidifying its reputation as a leader in franchising expertise.
The breakfast sector is experiencing rapid growth, and Happy Belly is poised to capitalize on this trend. By leveraging its asset-light strategy and tapping into the surge of interest from potential franchisees, the company aims to replicate past successes and propel Yolks Breakfast towards national brand status.
With a proven track record of growing brands like Extreme Pita, Mucho Burrito, Burger's Priest, and Fresh to over 400 corporate and franchised locations, Happy Belly is confident in its ability to drive expansion. This strategic approach not only strengthens Yolks' position but also sets the stage for it to become a leading national brand in the breakfast category.
