R
ock legend Ann Wilson's northern Florida home has hit the market for $2 million, just two months after she announced her cancer diagnosis. The lead vocalist and songwriter of Heart, known for hits like "Crazy on You" and "Barracuda," purchased the 12.5-acre estate in Palatka for $885,000 in 2019.
The property, which sits along the scenic St. Johns River, features a 4,084-square-foot main house with three bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, and stunning river views. The home also boasts a 2,406-square-foot guest house, an infinity pool overlooking the water, and a spa.
Wilson's love for the property is evident in her songwriting process. She found inspiration here to write new songs, and the estate has been a source of comfort during her health journey. Despite canceling her tour earlier this year due to cancer treatment, Heart announced that they will continue their tour in March, opening in Las Vegas.
The waterfront compound, located on West River Road near St. Augustine, offers 510 feet of water frontage and its own dock. The property features multiple balconies, large porches, and a woodburning fireplace in the primary bedroom suite. Additional amenities include an eat-in kitchen with a second woodburning fireplace, a library with floor-to-ceiling bookcases, and a solid wood staircase.
The grounds feature century-old oak and magnolia trees, providing plenty of room for expansion. The listing notes that the property has two backup generators, an artisan well, an irrigation system, and two pump houses. A 1,159-square-foot workshop is also included in the sale.
