HGTV Pulls Plug on Georgia-Based Reality Series 'Married to Real Estate'

he stars of HGTV's "Married to Real Estate" have announced that the show has been canceled. Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson, a real estate broker and designer, and building contractor respectively, shared the news on Instagram after returning from a family trip to the Mediterranean. In their statement, they expressed gratitude for the four seasons of the show, their crew, and fans, as well as the success of their businesses. HGTV has not commented on the cancellation.

    "Married to Real Estate" premiered in 2022 and concluded its fourth season in May. The show reportedly drew an audience of around 19 million viewers. Despite the cancellation, Jackson remains optimistic, saying "God makes no mistakes" and that this is a setup for something better. Sherrod echoed his sentiment, suggesting that sometimes change can lead to new opportunities.

    The couple's success on HGTV extends beyond "Married to Real Estate." They won season 3 of Rock the Block in 2022, and Sherrod has previously hosted two other shows, "Flipping Virgins" and "Property Virgins."
