ines, a global real‑estate investment manager headquartered in Houston, disclosed on Dec. 9 that its Global Income Trust bought the Clay Terrace outdoor mall in Carmel and a 451‑unit Chicago apartment tower. The mall, formerly owned by Simon Property Group and later Washington Prime Group in 2014, is anchored by Whole Foods and Dick’s Sporting Goods and offers 15 eateries and 23 apparel shops. John Tomlinson and Will Renner of Hines’ Midwest team will oversee the transaction.
