Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness Sell NYC Penthouse Amid Divorce

$12 million transfer at 100 11th Ave. marks first sign of former couple dividing local assets.

H
ugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness are parting ways with a significant piece of their Manhattan real estate portfolio, starting with a striking glass-wrapped penthouse in Chelsea. Records show the couple is splitting their Jean Nouvel-designed residence at 100 Eleventh Ave., which was purchased for $21.12 million in 2022.

The sale price listed on city records is $23.6 million, but deed documents reveal a significantly lower sum of approximately $11.7 million, indicating a split. The buyer, Phoenix Rising I LLC, shares a Beverly Hills address with Furness's longtime legal advisors and appears to be tied to her.

This transaction marks the first public sign of asset division between the couple, who announced their separation in 2023 after 27 years of marriage. They still own a triplex unit nearby in the West Village, which was listed for $38.9 million in 2022 but quietly came off the market in April 2024.

The penthouse features soaring 14-foot windows, a rooftop terrace, and sweeping Hudson River views. It includes a private elevator entrance, a library that can convert to a fourth bedroom, and a chef's kitchen with a breakfast bar. The primary suite boasts a massive dressing room and a spa-style bathroom outfitted with six fixtures.

The sale of the penthouse comes just two days after Furness formally filed for divorce on May 23. Representatives for both parties have not commented on the split or the asset division.
