A
chilling twist has emerged in the disappearance of Ronald Leslie Dumas Jr., a 37-year-old Huntsville real estate agent who vanished on December 15, 2024. As authorities re-examine the case, they now believe Dumas was abducted, and five individuals are wanted for their alleged involvement.
The family's initial concerns were dismissed by police, but new evidence has prompted a significant shift in the investigation. The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has upgraded Dumas' status to a missing and endangered person alert, citing credible signs of an abduction and growing fears for his safety.
"We've been waiting for this moment for months," said Talia Berryhill, Dumas' mother-in-law. "We want him home, and we need the public's help to make that happen." Shakeria Samples, another family member, echoed her sentiments, expressing frustration with the initial investigation and relief that authorities are now taking their concerns seriously.
Surveillance footage captured Dumas entering a liquor store on University Drive around 10:30 p.m. on December 15 with two women. He was later seen leaving with them, but at the time, police didn't suspect foul play. However, further investigation linked the women to Dumas' disappearance and uncovered evidence pointing to multiple individuals involved.
A joint effort between HPD and the FBI led to a credible lead identifying a 450-acre area south of Memphis, Tennessee, as a possible location connected to Dumas' case. On February 6, a search was conducted by investigators from various agencies, including Southeastern Search Dogs.
The investigation has taken a dramatic turn with the discovery of new evidence and the issuance of arrest warrants for five individuals:
* Quintarius Shikelion White, 32, of Memphis, TN — First-degree kidnapping
* Toure Laron McLaurin, 33, of Memphis, TN — First-degree kidnapping
* Sabrina Rochelle Chambers, 27, of Huntsville, AL — First-degree kidnapping
* Kierra Symone Clark, 27, of Memphis, TN — Conspiracy to commit kidnapping
* Carissa Cash, 33, of Memphis, TN — First-degree receiving stolen property
HPD is working closely with the U.S. Marshal's Task Force to locate and apprehend the suspects. Authorities urge anyone with information about their whereabouts to come forward.
The investigation remains ongoing, and HPD encourages the public to contact them or local authorities if they have any information regarding Dumas' disappearance.
