ONIA COUNTY — The median home list price in Ionia County dropped to $251,250 in October, a decline of 8.6% from the previous month's $274,750, according to Realtor.com data. Compared to October 2023, prices fell by 11.8% from $284,925.

    The median home size was 1,817 square feet, listed at $146 per square foot, a decrease of 0.9% from the same period last year. Homes in Ionia County sold relatively quickly, with a median time on market of 39 days compared to the national average of 58 days.

    New listings increased by 23.1% in October, with 64 homes added to the market, up from 52 in October 2023. Realtor.com's median home prices may not reflect the entire market, as they exclude new construction and pending sales.

    In Michigan, the median home price was $289,950, down slightly from September. The median home size was 1,603 square feet, priced at $178 per square foot. Nationally, the median home price decreased to $424,950, with a median home size of 1,835 square feet and a price per square foot of $226.
