ealtor Jimmy Chang's life was tragically cut short on December 15 when an alleged underage drunk driver ran a red light on Buford Highway in Chamblee. With a decade-long career in real estate under his belt, Chang was a respected figure in the Atlanta community. He served as president of the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA), a nonprofit dedicated to bridging cultural gaps and creating opportunities for underserved communities.
As an advocate for Asian heritage and culture, Chang made a lasting impact on those around him. His colleagues at the Atlanta Realtors Association remembered him fondly, with one describing him as "a pillar in the Atlanta real estate community." A colleague, Whitney Mills, shared her thoughts on Chang's passing: "The most significant mark he left was on his friends, family, and loved ones with his warm smile and spirit."
A fundraiser has been set up by Kuang Chang to cover the costs of her brother's funeral and memorial service. The campaign has already raised nearly $36,000 in support.
