evin McQuaid has joined Ian Black Real Estate as a sales associate, bringing extensive knowledge of the Sarasota area to his new role. A long-time resident and former journalist, McQuaid previously worked for the Observer Media Group and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, where he covered City Hall and business news. He transitioned into commercial real estate in 2021 and will now advise clients on leasing, purchasing, and selling commercial properties in Sarasota and Manatee counties at Ian Black.

    McQuaid's background in journalism has provided a strong foundation for his new career, with over three decades of experience in reporting and editing. His most recent position was as a commercial real estate editor for the Observer Media Group from 2015 to 2021. McQuaid holds a bachelor's degree from Towson University and is well-equipped to serve clients at Ian Black Real Estate.
