Julia Fox Tops New Jersey Real Estate Agent Rankings

Julia Fox sparks internet buzz with mysterious real estate billboard - what's behind it?

I
n a clever marketing stunt, Julia Fox's face appeared on a billboard in New York City, touting her as the "#1 Real Estate Agent in New Jersey." The ad was so convincing that it quickly went viral on social media. However, it turned out to be a ruse for Steven Soderbergh's new film, "The Presence," which premiered at Sundance and hit theaters on January 24th.

But here's the twist: you can still call 908-905-CECE or visit CecesRealty.com, where Fox's voice invites you to leave a message. Thousands have taken the bait, with most in on the joke but a few genuinely thinking they've stumbled upon a new career path for the actress.

The house featured on the billboard and website is actually located in New Jersey, where "The Presence" was shot entirely on location in Cranford. The site's tagline, "Some homes find you as much as you find them," is a clever tease for the film, which tells the story of a family discovering a ghost in their new home – sold to them by real estate agent Cece (Fox).

This isn't Fox's first rodeo; she's been making waves since her breakout role in "Uncut Gems" opposite Adam Sandler. Her subsequent appearances on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast and an article for Interview about her relationship with Kanye West made her a social media sensation in early 2022.

While Julia Fox may not be able to help you find your forever home, she's now starring alongside Lucy Liu, Chris Sullivan, Callina Liang, and Eddy Maday in "The Presence," which offers a unique twist on the haunted house genre – told from the ghost's point of view.
