ustin Virts has joined MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services as a Real Estate Advisor in their Charlottesville office. He previously worked at Marcus & Millchap's Washington D.C. office and will be working under the direction of Sam Orr, Executive Vice President. Brian Thomas, former head swimming coach at George Washington University, also recently joined the team.
As a Real Estate Advisor, Virts will represent clients in the sale and leasing of flex/office and warehouse/industrial properties across Northern and Central Virginia. His responsibilities include site selection, market analysis, lease negotiations, and business development initiatives. He will establish relationships within the commercial real estate community and support the company's long-term goals.
Virts brings several years of diversified experience to his role, having worked as an agent for eXp Realty and Treasure Realty. He earned a Bachelor's degree from the United States Naval Academy and a Master's in Business Administration from American Public University. Virts is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
"We're confident that Justin will excel in this new role," said Orr. "His military background and real estate experience make him an ideal fit for our team." MacKenzie continues to recruit professional brokers to expand its presence in Central Virginia, with Thomas and Virts being prime examples. The company aims to add up to four full-time commercial real estate professionals and two property management specialists before year-end.
MacKenzie operates five divisions addressing various asset classes, including commercial real estate services, property management, capital advisory, contracting, and investment group. With a strong presence in Maryland and expanding into Virginia, MacKenzie is poised for growth with its aggressive strategy and talented team members like Virts and Thomas.
