anye West, who previously gutted a Tadao Ando-designed home in Malibu, has purchased a 20,000-square-foot estate in Beverly Park for $35 million. The rapper and fashion designer bought the property, once owned by late Saudi billionaire Saleh Abdullah Kamel, from an undisclosed seller through an off-market deal. This acquisition comes just three months after West sold his stripped-down concrete house in Malibu to Steven "Bo" Belmont for $21 million, a significant loss of 63% compared to its original price.
West paid $10.5 million more than the previous owner's purchase price of $24.5 million in early 2022. The 11-bedroom, 18-bath mansion, designed by Richard Landry, was built on 7 acres for Norman Zada, the founder of adult magazine Perfect 10. The white contemporary mansion features living areas with plenty of natural light, a gourmet kitchen, and outdoor amenities including a tennis court, lap pool, and separate plunge pool.
The property also includes a 6,100-square-foot guest house and an entertainment pavilion connected to the main house by a steel-columned bridge. With an HOA fee of $3,300 per month, West now owns another Los Angeles property in Calabasas, where he operated his now-shuttered Donda Academy.
