anye West sold his 6,713‑acre Bighorn Mountain Ranch in Wyoming for $16.995 million, almost $17 million, back to its original owners, the Flitner family. West had bought the ranch in 2019 for $14.495 million. The transaction, notarized in Zurich by Bianca Censori, was quietly listed and then removed from the market before the sale closed.
The Flitners—Greg and Pam—reacquired the property after years of vacancy. Pam explained that West had left the existing cabins and lodges largely intact; no bulldozers were used, and the structures remain solid, though they may need some upkeep. The ranch, surrounded by Bureau of Land Management and National Forest lands, offers privacy and natural beauty. It features a log home with five bedrooms, a three‑bedroom Snowshoe Lodge, several cabins, a wet bar, a sauna, and a garage for ATVs. Elk roam the 1,500–2,000‑animal herd that frequents the area, and creeks provide fishing opportunities. Nearby hiking trails, canyons, and meadows add to the appeal.
West’s other Wyoming property, the 3,885‑acre Monster Lake Ranch in Cody, was purchased in September 2019 for $14 million and remains on the market with a $12 million asking price. The sale of Bighorn Mountain Ranch signals that West’s Wyoming ventures have largely concluded, though he still has a listing in the state.
The Flitners noted that West’s time in Wyoming did not damage the ranch’s infrastructure, and they appreciated his efforts to develop the land. Despite his ambitions, West’s plans for the state were never fully realized, and the ranch’s sale marks the end of his Wyoming chapter.
