LA Luxury Home Sales Soar with $158 Million Contract in Fall Season

os Angeles County's luxury market is gearing up for a busy fall, with signed contracts reaching $157.5 million in volume last week, a 42% spike from the previous seven-day period. According to the Eklund Weekly Luxury Report LA, Douglas Elliman's Eklund Gomes team reported 24 new contracts for homes listed over $4 million, up from 14 the prior week.

    A Beverly Hills Flats property led single-family home contracts last week, with an asking price of $15.8 million. The 7,602-square-foot smart home features a gated entry, chef's kitchen, pool, and pool house. In Los Angeles County, the average price per square foot for single-family homes that went under contract was $1,325, up from $1,273 in the prior period.

    A Santa Monica townhome also broke a two-week streak of no activity in the condo and townhouse segment, with a unit at 10 Ocean Park Boulevard listed at just under $6 million. The property features four beds, five baths, ocean views, an elevator, and a two-car garage.
