eWees Real Estate Group has announced the sale of the Lake Murray Golf Center, a 33-acre property located at 2032 Old Hilton Rd. in Chapin. Sam DeWees, Broker in Charge, represented The Guerry Family Trust in the transaction. CB Bros Holdings, LLC and local entrepreneur Benjamin Hooker, owner of BOHO Pizza and Brew in Lexington, are the new owners.
According to plans, the golf center will reopen in three phases. Phase one will include the driving range and a limited food service, phase two will add the 9-hole par 3 course and 18-hole putt-putt course, and phase three will introduce a full-service restaurant. The property's name may change later this year to better reflect its golf-focused atmosphere and family-friendly appeal.
