Long Island entrepreneur aims to shake up the real estate industry with his new book, "Nobody Move (Without Reading This)". Author Robert Esposito highlights the importance of supporting consumers during one of life's most stressful experiences: moving.
Esposito, owner of Relocators, a Hauppauge-based moving and storage company, believes that those working in the residential real estate sector have failed their clients by focusing on supporting them rather than preparing them for the challenges ahead. He aims to change this with his book, which features stories of moving disasters and ways to avoid them.
The book opens with a harrowing tale from Dee Snider, lead singer of Twisted Sister, who recounts how his family was left stranded in Florida after their moving company demanded an additional payment of several thousand dollars. Esposito also shares insights on how divorce can impact the moving process, creating a complex web of emotions and challenges.
Esposito believes that service providers can help clients navigate these challenges by offering early support and empathy. He advocates for a more caring approach to real estate transactions, one that prioritizes building relationships over mere gestures like fruit or champagne.
Published by Red Penguin Press, "Nobody Move (Without Reading This)" will be available online and in bookstores on January 15.
