Atlantic Beach tops Duval County's most expensive homes sold in 2024, led by a $8.13 million 1935 cottage sale.

n a year marked by record-breaking sales, Atlantic Beach's 1651 Beach Ave. took the top spot with an $8.13 million sale on June 12. This eight-bedroom, seven-bath estate boasts a prime location and unparalleled luxury.

    A mere week later, another Atlantic Beach property made headlines when it sold for $6.5 million on June 28. Located at 2359 Seminole Road, this 2,556-square-foot home sits on nearly an acre of land in the heart of old Atlantic Beach.

    In Jacksonville, a single property stood out as Duval County's top sale: a four-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bath riverfront estate at 10758 Waverly Bluff Way. Complete with a saltwater pool, boat lift, and private dock, this stunning home sold for $6.45 million on December 27.

    May saw several notable sales in the area, including a six-bedroom, five-bath oceanfront pool home at 525 Beach Ave. in Atlantic Beach. This property, which boasts breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, sold for $5.65 million on May 14.

    Another historic beach bungalow made the list when it sold for $5.15 million on September 20. Located at 1277 Beach Ave., this four-bedroom, three-bath home was built in 1925 and features a fully renovated interior.

    In Atlantic Beach, a contemporary oceanfront home at 2109 Beach Ave. sold for $4.88 million on May 24. This six-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bath property boasts an impressive 6,451 square feet of living space.

    Neptune Beach was also represented on the list with several notable sales. A seven-bedroom, seven-bath home at 363 12th St., built in 2017, sold for $4.75 million on May 6. Another brick home at 102 Bay St. offered unique interior appointments and sold for $4.75 million on May 16.

    Finally, a classic cedar shake cottage at 697 Beach Ave. in Atlantic Beach sold for $4.33 million on April 26. Built in 1921, this six-bedroom, four-bath home features a one-of-a-kind layout and well-maintained features that have stood the test of time.
