round the same time, Gray sold a property she had purchased in the early 2000s - an Encino estate that served as her base in another affluent San Fernando Valley neighborhood. Known for its celebrity residents, Encino's Royal Oaks offers leafy streets and large lots, but with a more subdued atmosphere than Beverly Hills. According to reports, Gray sold the property in January 2007 for approximately $4.75 million.
The estate, built in 1998, boasted over 10,000 square feet of living space, including a tennis court, gourmet kitchen, wine cellar, media room, and guesthouse. After Gray's sale, new owners expanded the property to over 12,500 square feet before listing it for $11.7 million.
Gray eventually settled in Tarzana, a neighborhood in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley named after Tarzan. Located just west of Encino, Tarzana is characterized by large lots and custom-built homes that provide residents with privacy and space. Over the past decade, it has become a celebrity enclave, with actors Matt LeBlanc and Kaley Cuoco among its notable residents.
Gray currently resides in Tarzana with her adult children, in a property featuring a long driveway and tennis court where she works out. As she tours the world celebrating the 25th anniversary of her triple-platinum album On How Life Is, Gray returns to her serene Tarzana estate as her grounding presence.
