s Mary Ann Dybala hangs up her Realtor's hat after an illustrious 50-year career, the South Side community is bidding farewell to a pillar of dedication and compassion. At 83, Dybala is retiring from In Realty, where she spent five decades forging unbreakable bonds with clients and neighbors alike.
"I've always found joy in making others happy," Dybala says, her eyes sparkling with warmth. "That's what this business is all about – helping people find not just a house, but a home that truly feels like their own." A lifelong Chicagoan, Dybala's journey began at St. Daniel the Prophet Elementary School and Kelly High School. She worked various jobs before earning her real estate license and marrying the love of her life, Raymond.
The couple built a life together in Burr Ridge, raising two children and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Dybala's professional path was marked by excellence, with a reputation for integrity and a passion that never wavered. "People love what I do just as much as I love doing it," she says with a smile.
Beyond her remarkable career, Dybala has been a driving force in community service. She served as president of the Garfield Ridge Chamber of Commerce, an active member of St. Daniel the Prophet Church, and a longtime leader of the Southwest Real Estate Board. Her tireless efforts extended to helping seniors, launching a local business directory, and establishing the beloved Snack with Santa event on Chicago's South Side.
As she prepares for retirement, Dybala is filled with gratitude for her life's work. "I've had a blessed life," she says, her voice trembling with emotion. "If I've made even a small difference in someone's journey, then I've done what I was meant to do." With her husband Raymond passing away in 2023, Dybala is looking forward to cherishing more time with her family and continuing to be an integral part of the community she loves.
As she steps into this new chapter, Dybala remains committed to volunteering and staying connected to those around her. "I love socializing and hearing people's stories," she says. "Some memories will stick with me forever – like helping a struggling family find a home and seeing their children's faces light up." With her last day at In Realty on April 30, Dybala is ready to embark on the next chapter of her life, surrounded by love, family, and the memories that have made her career so unforgettable.
