rian Doherty, President and CEO of the Massachusetts Assisted Living Association, will speak at Boston's 12th Annual Assisted Living and Senior Housing Conference on February 27, 2025, at the Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA. As CEO of Mass-ALA, Doherty leads a not-for-profit organization dedicated to professionally operated assisted living residences in Massachusetts. He has served since 2018 and was recognized by Argentum as a 2022 Champion of Seniors Awardee for his advocacy on behalf of seniors and assisted living.
Doherty's experience includes leading associations in various sectors, including the Massachusetts Psychological Association and the Northeast Association of REALTORS. He currently serves as Immediate Past Chair of the New England Society of Association Executives.
The conference will cover topics such as market growth, design trends, regulatory changes, public funding options, and identifying opportunities to capitalize on demand for assisted living and senior housing. According to Grand View Research, the US assisted living facility market size was valued at $91.8 billion in 2022 and is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 5.5 percent from 2023 to 2030.
