Massachusetts Welcomes Nine New Companies with First Locations Established in State.

assEcon's Annual Corporate Welcome Reception will recognize nine companies that have established a presence in Massachusetts over the past year. These businesses represent diverse industries such as IT, beverage, career training, AI, gene therapy, logistics, software, and biotechnology.

    Massachusetts Secretary of the Executive Office of Economic Development Yvonne Hao will deliver the keynote address, while Morgan Weinstein, Executive Vice President – Northeast at Phase3 Real Estate Partners, will welcome the companies. This event brings together new businesses in Massachusetts to introduce them to the state's network.

    Since its inception in 2009, MassEcon has recognized 193 companies from 40 countries and 32 states, which have added over 8,000 jobs to the Massachusetts economy. Representatives from various organizations, including the City of Boston and Cambridge, will attend the reception to welcome these new businesses.

    MassEcon Executive Director Pete Abair stated, "Massachusetts offers a high quality of life for workers and a supportive ecosystem for employers." The event aims to foster connections between these companies and the Massachusetts network.

    The nine honored companies are:

    * Acensi, an IT consulting firm with locations in France, Canada, and Lowell

    * Arcpoint Brewing Company, a veteran-owned brewery in Belchertown

    * ArLab, a state-of-the-art career institute in Boston

    * Beacon Therapeutics, an ophthalmic gene therapy company from England and Florida

    * Crowley Wind Services, a maritime, energy, and logistics solutions company from Florida

    * Enlaye, an AI-native Risk Lifecycle Management platform for the Built-World

    * Great American Beer Hall, a tap room-style beer hall in Medford

    * MacPaw, a software development company from Ukraine with a subsidiary office in Cambridge

    * TreeFrog Therapeutics, a French-based biotech company operating in Cambridge

    The event will take place on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Genesis in Cambridge.
