BCREA will host a press conference to announce an urgent appeal for the BC Government to create a Permanent Provincial Housing Policy Roundtable. The proposal was endorsed by the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) at its conference on September 26, 2025, and will bring together housing policy experts from academia, market and non‑market sectors, Indigenous groups, and municipalities to collaborate on solutions amid the province’s housing affordability crisis.
Key speakers will include:

- Brad West, Mayor, City of Port Coquitlam
- Margaret Pfoh, CEO, Aboriginal Housing Management Association
- Rebecca Casey, President, Canadian Mortgage Brokers Association – BC
- Shawn Bouchard, Vice President, Quadra Homes
The event will be streamed live and will allow media to ask questions via teleconference and in person after the prepared remarks.
