Megan Ellison's NYC Home Back on Market for $3.65M Amid Family's Billionaire Status

Larry Ellison's daughter tries to sell Police Building penthouse since summer 2023.

M
egan Ellison, the 39-year-old heiress to billionaire Larry Ellison's fortune, has relisted her stunning domed pied-à-terre in New York City's historic Police Building. The one-bedroom, one-bath penthouse is asking $3.65 million, a slight discount from its original price of $3.7 million.

Ellison purchased the 2,000-square-foot space for $2.8 million in 2013 and has since renovated it to showcase its unique features, including 17-foot ceilings with skylight views of the building's Baroque spire. The unit boasts wide-plank oak floors, lacquer built-ins, large skylights, central air and heating, and an oversized chef's kitchen with two banquettes and a concrete island.

The Police Building, located at 240 Centre St., was once home to fashion industry A-listers like Cindy Crawford and Linda Evangelista. The Belle-Epoque building dates back to 1905 and was originally designed by Hoppin & Koen. It served as Manhattan's police headquarters until 1973 before being converted into co-ops in 1988.

Ellison, a talented filmmaker with four Oscar nominations, has made the penthouse her own with a renovation that highlights its original ironwork and masonry. The unit also features a sound system, projector, and drop-down screen for film enthusiasts, as well as a spa-like bath with radiant-heat floors.
