nowflake has secured a massive sublease in Menlo Park, taking over a four-building campus with 773,000 square feet. This is the largest Bay Area office lease in over a decade and will serve as Snowflake's new hub for growth and expansion.
The Montana-based cloud computing firm inked a deal with Meta to occupy the campus at Constitution Drive and Independence Drive, which is part of Menlo Gateway owned by Bohannon Companies and Brookfield. The lease reportedly runs through 2033 but financial terms were not disclosed.
Snowflake still maintains an office space in San Mateo, leasing 200,000 square feet at its former hub. The company has been expanding rapidly over the past three years, growing from 4,000 employees to over 7,000 workers. Its new Menlo Park campus will feature amenities such as a gym, business training facility, and indoor/outdoor cafe seating.
This move marks Snowflake's second major office expansion in recent months, following its lease of 300,000 square feet from Meta in Bellevue near Seattle in April. The Bay Area's largest lease on record was set by Bank of America in 2010 with an 836,000-square-foot deal at 1455 Market Street in San Francisco.
