A
Mediterranean-style mansion, Villa Del Paraiso, has changed hands on Brazilian Avenue in Midtown Palm Beach for a staggering $15.5 million, according to a recently recorded deed. The 1924 estate, boasting four bedrooms and 4,771 square feet of living space, was once the residence of Eleanor J. Gross and her late husband, real estate mogul Ronald "Ron" S. Gross.
The property's transformation under their ownership was nothing short of remarkable, with a complete renovation that repositioned the front door and revamped the layout. The interior design seamlessly blends traditional and contemporary elements, featuring wood-accented ceilings, gallery-white walls, and an oversized French door with a dark-gray finish. A Parisian-style elevator and sleek kitchen with dark-wood cabinets add to the property's allure.
The Grosses purchased Villa Del Paraiso in 2017 for approximately $3.5 million, and it has since become one of the most sought-after properties on Brazilian Avenue. The sale was facilitated by Laura Rosenberg and Jane Greenblatt, who acted as co-trustees and personal representatives of their father's estate.
The buyer, a Colorado-based limited liability company called IMLI Leaf LLC, acquired the property through a private transaction. While details about the entity remain scarce, it is clear that Villa Del Paraiso has found a new owner willing to invest in this Palm Beach gem.
Ron Gross, a seasoned real estate developer with a passion for historic restorations, had an illustrious career spanning decades. He initially practiced law in Philadelphia before founding American Equity Properties and later pursued residential and commercial developments. His wife, Eleanor, passed away in 2020 after a 59-year marriage.
