A
disturbing sex slave operation has been uncovered in Milwaukee's Concordia neighborhood. According to a criminal complaint, 38-year-old Austin Chronister allegedly held multiple women against their will at his home on West State Street.
The victims reported that they were forced to sign a contract with strict rules, including obedience and wearing a collar at all times. Those who failed to comply faced physical violence as punishment. Chronister's wife was also living in the house, where he would host BDSM parties for friends and family.
The women inside the home shared a distinctive tattoo of a beetle holding a poppy flower and were assigned slave numbers. One victim reported that another woman kept her identification documents in a safe accessible only to Chronister.
One of the victims managed to escape in November 2020 after reporting their situation. Chronister, who worked as a real estate broker, has been charged with felony human trafficking, second-degree sexual assault, and false imprisonment. He is currently in custody but bail has not been set.
