Minnesota Real Estate Hall of Fame adds new honorees from St. Thomas community

Six McGough Construction family members and a Brighton Development co-founder join the Minnesota Real Estate Hall of Fame.

ix members of the McGough Construction family, co-founder of Brighton Development, and a former partner at Trammell Crow have been inducted into the Minnesota Real Estate Hall of Fame. The 2024 honorees were selected by the University's Real Estate Advisory Board for their "transformational contributions to real estate" and commitment to community improvement.

    The induction ceremony will take place on November 13 at The Club in Golden Valley, with John Sweeney delivering the keynote speech. Registration is open online.

    Peggy Lucas of Brighton Development has made a name for herself through her passion for affordable housing and preserving neighborhood character. Her company has completed over 3,000 residential units and 200 development projects, including notable developments like Stone Arch Lofts and Washburn Lofts.

    Kirtland "Kirt" Woodhouse, former partner at Trammell Crow, has had a lasting impact on Minnesota's commercial real estate landscape through his work on large suburban office parks. He developed several well-known properties in the Twin Cities, including the Carlson Center and Normandale Lake Office Park.

    The McGough family, who founded McGough Construction in 1956, have built their business on principles of collaboration, integrity, and craftsmanship. They have excelled at complex projects, including university campus facilities and tech manufacturing spaces, and enjoy a 90% ratio of repeat customers.
