National Association of Realtors Supports Housing Recovery Efforts

Coalition to highlight successful state and local housing solutions nationwide.

T
he National League of Cities is strengthening its America's Housing Comeback initiative to tackle the issue of housing supply head-on. The National Association of REALTORS has joined forces with the American Planning Association and the National Association of Home Builders to amplify this effort.

America's Housing Comeback aims to accelerate community progress on housing supply issues by leveraging solutions, systems, and partnerships outlined in the Housing Supply Accelerator Playbook. This initiative will bring national attention to successful state and local policies and promote public-private partnerships to boost supply.

"Housing attainability is a top priority for cities," says Clarence E. Anthony, CEO of the National League of Cities. "To address housing at scale, we need to upgrade or expand public infrastructure, invest in skills training, grow the workforce, and improve systems that safeguard our nation's housing stock."

The partnership with NAR will be an important tool in increasing housing supply and addressing affordability. As part of its advocacy efforts, NAR has focused on zoning reform, improving permitting processes, and educating the public about policies affecting affordability.
