ew American Funding, a leading independent mortgage lender, is expanding its Housing Advocate Certification (HAC) program to real estate professionals nationwide. Originally developed through the company's NAF Black Impact initiative, the HAC program has already trained over 1,000 NAF employees and will now be available to external agents and brokerages.
The HAC program provides comprehensive training on equity-focused strategies, tailored marketing materials, and professional development opportunities to promote community stability and advance Black homeownership. Participants gain a deeper understanding of the history and barriers to Black homeownership, fostering cultural awareness and trust-based relationships with clients.
To mark its public debut, New American Funding will host a live webinar on June 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM PT. Real estate professionals can join the interest list to receive access to the Zoom session and learn more about participating in the program.
The launch comes at a critical time as efforts to narrow the racial wealth gap continue. With the Black community's buying power projected to reach $2.1 trillion by 2026, real estate professionals have ample opportunities to advance Black homeownership through the HAC program.
"This program is for real estate professionals who want to make a meaningful impact in their communities," said Mosi Gatling, SVP of Strategic Growth and Expansion. "Our goal is to modernize fair housing from the street level and create a more inclusive industry."
The June 4 webinar is the first in a series of events New American Funding will host in 2025 to provide real estate professionals with education and certification rooted in advocacy and inclusion. For more information or to register for the webinar, visit nafblackimpact.com/certified.
