ew York City's retail scene saw an eclectic mix of leases last month, with a range of tenants signing deals in various neighborhoods. In addition to well-known chains and restaurants, new private schools, furniture makers, and social clubs are joining the city's commercial landscape.
The largest lease was secured by a national chain with over 70 locations, marking its first foray into the five boroughs. Here are some of the notable leases:
* 99 Ranch Market will open its first NYC location in Flushing, occupying 44,000 square feet.
* Moncler Group signed a sublease in the Plaza District, taking over some of Under Armour's retail space.
* Dog PPL, a Santa Monica-based social club, inked a lease for a private dog park on the roof of a Williamsburg building.
* Yeshivat Darche Eres, a private school, signed a lease for an entire Bensonhurst building.
* AIS, a New England-based furniture maker, expanded its showroom in the Grand Central building.
* Rosa Mexicano relocated to the Upper West Side, signing a new lease in a 12,000-square-foot space.
* Snipes, a sneaker retailer, signed a lease in Throggs Neck.
* Sephora secured a lease in Hudson Yards.
* Paulie Gee's Slice Shop opened a pizzeria in Gowanus.
* Casa Tua, a private club, signed a lease in Bushwick.
* Wonder, a food delivery service, leased space in Clinton Hill.
