ishimura & Asahi has bolstered its real estate capabilities and expanded its Vietnamese lawyer roster with the arrival of new partner Nguyen Ngoc Phuc in Ho Chi Minh City. A seasoned Vietnam-qualified attorney, Nguyen brings over 25 years of experience to the firm, having specialized in real estate, M&A, corporate, and finance law.
Nguyen joins Nishimura & Asahi from Mori Hamada & Matsumoto's Ho Chi Minh City office, where he was a partner. He will focus on attracting non-Japanese clients by leveraging his expertise in real estate-related matters and established relationships with clients built over years through his own practice.
Prior to establishing his own firm Garnet Law in 2007, Nguyen worked at Allens' Ho Chi Minh City office for six years. His practice was later acquired by ZICO Law Vietnam in 2017, where he became a partner. Nishimura & Asahi launched its Ho Chi Minh City office in 2010 and expanded to Hanoi the following year.
