Morris Township home sold for $1,250,000, a 26% increase over its asking price of $995,000. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom property, which spans nearly 3,600 square feet, was renovated by the sellers who purchased it in an estate sale two years ago.
The listing agent, Lisa Molinari with Weichert, Realtors - Morristown East, reported a high level of interest from potential buyers. The home had 41 scheduled showings within its first two days on the market and drew another 80 groups to a three-day open house.
Molinari attributed the property's appeal to its size, location in the desirable Butterworth neighborhood, and an open-concept kitchen that flows into the family room. The flexible space would suit a multi-generational family, she noted.
The home received 10 offers, with one buyer submitting their offer at the asking price and the rest around the selling price. Molinari said the accepted offer was due to the buyer's competitive price, ability to close on time, and strong financial qualifications.
