Read our privacy policyA North Carolina man has been arrested on murder charges in connection with the killings of a neighbor and a married couple at separate crime scenes over the weekend.David Lever, 55, was taken into custody after police found three people shot dead in Greenville, including an elderly couple and their neighbor. The victims were identified as Anthony Gribble, 80, his wife Paula, 76, and Enrique Reyes, 64.Lever, a real estate broker who lives near one of the crime scenes, had a cache of weapons at home and in his van, according to authorities. A family member intervened before more victims could be targeted, police said.A connection between Lever and Reyes is unclear, but the Gribble couple used Lever as their realtor when they bought their home in 2014.Lever made his first court appearance on Monday, where he was ordered held without bond. He is due back in court on January 29, with additional charges pending.
