T
he Global Wellness Summit (GWS) and the Global Wellness Institute (GWI) are hosting their fourth annual Wellness Real Estate & Communities Symposium on June 17, 2025, in New York City. This event brings together leaders from real estate, investment, architecture, design, public policy, technology, medicine, and sustainability to explore how a focus on health and wellness is transforming the built environment.
Wellness real estate has been the fastest-growing sector in the global wellness economy, surging from $225 billion in 2019 to $438 billion in 2023. The GWI predicts it will grow 15.8% annually from 2023 to 2028, reaching $913 billion by 2028.
The symposium will feature new research and keynotes that showcase the evolution of wellness real estate beyond spa amenities in luxury developments. Presentations will cover topics such as creating regenerative habitats, longevity residences, cutting-edge technology for healthcare at home, and reimagining student housing.
Keynote speakers include Manvendra Singh Shekhawat, managing director of Suryagarh Collection, and Horst Schulze, founding member of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. A super-panel will discuss how emerging technologies can boost residents' healthspan and bring healthcare home.
The event will be held at West End Labs, a cutting-edge life science and innovation hub in Manhattan, and will include a VIP networking reception on June 16. In-person attendees can register with discounted rates before April 15, while accredited media can apply to attend.
