ajor League Baseball pitcher Luis Severino has purchased a $10.7 million mansion under construction in Pinecrest, Florida. The 11,300-square-foot home will feature seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and luxury amenities such as a pool and guest wing. This purchase is part of a recent boom in luxury home sales in Pinecrest, which has attracted several professional athletes.
Severino, who plays for the Oakland Athletics, bought the partially built mansion on a 1-acre property at 10801 Southwest 67th Avenue. The seller was a company led by Endurys Espinosa, president of A&E Brothers Roofing. The home is expected to be completed in October and originally listed for $11.9 million.
Pinecrest has seen a surge in luxury home sales, with finance executive Andre Hakkak paying $14.3 million for a spec mansion last year. Other professional athletes have also made their homes in Pinecrest, including National Basketball Association star Dion Waiters, who sold his estate for $11.1 million, and retired baseball player David Ortiz, who sold his mansion for nearly $10.6 million.
