acquel Collier, owner of Caliber Real Estate, has built a reputation for creating spaces that matter and foster connections within the communities she serves. Her approach to real estate development is centered around building environments where people can thrive. Initially studying chemistry at Clemson University with aspirations to become an anesthesiologist, Collier discovered her true passion lay in broadcast journalism and later transitioned into real estate after being drawn to properties and apartment complexes.
Collier's interest in multi-family units led her to pursue a master's program at Clemson, where she found that development encompassed all aspects of real estate, business, and community impact. This realization aligned with her interests and values, driving her to focus on creating spaces that not only build connections but also respect and reflect the communities they serve.
As owner of Caliber Real Estate, Collier is currently involved in several key projects, including developing mixed-income units at Unity Park and managing commercial real estate. Her approach prioritizes community culture and fostering relationships. She aims to create "third places" – spaces where people can relax and connect outside of their homes and work.
Collier's commitment to her values extends beyond her business, as she is also the chair of the Board of Commissioners for The Greenville Housing Authority and a member of the Fine Arts Center board. Her goal is to give back to the community, particularly after realizing how little support she had when starting her own path. She emphasizes the importance of alignment in business, partnerships, and collaborations.
For aspiring entrepreneurs, Collier advises seeking knowledge, making connections, and taking action. Her work is about cultivating relationships, creating opportunities, and staying true to values that prioritize community and culture. When describing her business in three words, she chooses creativity, community, and culture – highlighting the intentional approach she takes when developing spaces.
Collier's commitment to fostering connection extends beyond her daily work through her recently launched newsletter, Good Company Leisure Club, which highlights local events and offers opportunities for digital connections to come together in person. Her involvement with Ten at the Top initiative further demonstrates her dedication to regional growth and development. Through her work, Collier is creating lasting legacies that will continue to shape the landscape of Greenville and beyond.
