Rapper French Montana Purchases Luxury Oceanfront Estate in Golden Beach

French Montana Buys Oceanfront Golden Beach Home for $22 Million

F
rench Montana, whose real name is Karim Kharbouch, has purchased a luxurious oceanfront home in Golden Beach for $22 million. The Moroccan-American rapper acquired a 7,300-square-foot, five-bedroom, five-bathroom house on Ocean Boulevard through a trust that financed the deal with a $16.5 million mortgage from Amerant Bank. Montana, known for collaborating with artists like Rick Ross and Drake, founded Coke Boys Records in 2008.

The property was previously owned by retired radio show host Tom Joyner, who renovated it extensively with architect Wesley Kean, landscape architecture firm Enea, and interior designer Deborah Wecselman. The home was featured in Architectural Digest. Daniel Gonzalez, owner of Glamorous Life Cosmetic Surgery, sold the property after buying a larger mansion nearby.

Golden Beach has seen an uptick in high-end sales, including a $34 million oceanfront mansion purchased by Gonzalez last month. Other recent deals include Gastón Taratuta's $21 million oceanfront teardown and a beauty mogul's $15 million Intracoastal Waterway home. Embattled real estate investor Shaya Prager is trying to sell his Golden Beach compound for $68 million, more than double what he paid in 2021.
