al Alexander denied bond due to flight risk concerns, judge cites financial resources and strong evidence as key factors. Miami-Dade Judge Lody Jean ratified a pretrial agreement between prosecutors and the defense for state felony charges against twin brothers Alon and Oren Alexander, but federal prosecutors denied bond for Tal Alexander citing his potential risk of flight.
The 37-year-old brothers face state felony charges including sexual battery, with allegations they used their status, wealth, and influence to lure dozens of women into isolated settings where they were repeatedly drugged, raped, and exploited over more than a decade. The judge emphasized the strength of the evidence against Alexander and noted his family's "extensive financial resources," which include substantial assets.
As part of the pretrial agreement for the state charges, the brothers' father is putting up a family property as collateral. Defense attorneys confirmed that Ohad Fisherman, a close family friend who is also facing one count of sexual battery by multiple perpetrators, is expected to surrender next week after returning from his honeymoon in Japan.
The Alexander brothers remain held under a federal detainer and are not expected to leave custody due to pending federal charges. A 1 p.m. hearing was scheduled for Tal Alexander at the federal court, where prosecutors allege he conspired with his brothers to engage in a pattern of sexual violence, including the trafficking and rape of approximately 40 victims.
Prosecutors said the brothers used promoters, dating apps, and chance encounters to lure victims, who reported being restrained, drugged, and sexually assaulted. Evidence includes text messages and social media posts that prosecutors claim reveal the brothers' methods, such as a group chat where they discussed "fees per bang" and referred to women as "fresh" acquisitions.
The parties agreed not to disclose the victims' identities, and defense attorneys have pushed back against the evidence, questioning its admissibility and context. A 10 a.m. hearing is required to confirm the surety bond tied to their state charges, which will keep them in custody until at least Monday morning.
