New $175M Palm Beach Estate Just a Mile from…

800 S County Road, freshly renovated, is now seeking its next owner.

A
102‑year‑old, lakefront landmark in Palm Beach reappears on the market at $175 million. The listing, first reported by the Palm Beach Daily News, comes from Ann DesRuisseaux, who bought the property for $24 million in 2020. DesRuisseaux also owns the wine bar Le Bar a Vin, which has teamed with Italian chef Antonio Mellino of a three‑Michelin‑starred Amalfi‑Coast restaurant.

The home, known as Casa del Ensueños, sits on 1.5 acres with 200 feet of Intracoastal Waterway frontage. Designed by Addison Mizner in a Venetian style, the 21,500‑sq‑ft mansion now boasts 15 bedrooms, 18 baths, five powder rooms, and extensive custom millwork. Lakefront balconies and a grand courtyard archway once welcomed passing yachts.

After repeated flooding from Lake Worth Lagoon, the property was elevated and extensively renovated. The $175 million price reflects both the scale of the upgrades and the unique location along Palm Beach Island’s estate section. Margit Brandt of Premier Estate Properties describes it as “one of the most iconic renovations in Palm Beach history,” a “House of Dreams” that is truly one‑of‑a‑kind.

Outdoor amenities include a sparkling infinity pool, a sunken red‑clay tennis court, and a dock. Inside, the chef’s kitchen, powder rooms, and marble‑clad spa‑like bath provide luxury and style. All photographs were provided by Michael Laurenzano through Margit Brandt.
