alm Springs’ Exotic Dreams Resort Hotel, a 40‑room, clothing‑optional swingers haven, was unexpectedly listed for sale this summer. The property, known for its “play maze” of beds, massage tables and glory holes, was put on the market for $10.5 million in July, a price that also covers its loyal clientele.
The resort, formerly the All Worlds Resort, has long attracted open‑minded guests, especially gay men who favored a clothing‑optional environment. After a $500,000 overhaul of underground plumbing and several room renovations, owner Kenny Chen reopened the hotel on July 1, 2024, after a brief closure for construction. Chen says the business is highly profitable, reporting about $140,000 in monthly revenue with low operating costs.
Despite the recent investment and successful reopening, Chen has decided to sell. The reasons remain unclear, though he has highlighted the resort’s lucrative potential. The sale follows the recent transition of another Palm Springs clothing‑optional property, Desert Sun Resort, into a more conventional hotel.
The Exotic Dreams Resort features three pools, a sprawling play maze, and a reputation as a free‑for‑all retreat for the open‑minded. Its listing underscores the continued demand for niche adult vacation destinations in the region.
