Sagaponack estate is hitting the market for the first time in over six decades with an asking price of $85 million. This listing ranks as the fourth most expensive in the Hamptons, and if sold at this price, it would translate to approximately $6,200 per square foot. The property's sellers are reportedly brothers Mark and Stephen Perlbinder, who have been embroiled in a long-standing feud over their family's fortune.
The estate spans 14,000 square feet, featuring 10 bedrooms with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, 12 bathrooms, and two half baths. Notable designers John Saladino and Peter Marino contributed to the property's design, with Marino overseeing a 10,000-square-foot addition in 2005. The estate boasts over five acres of land, including 357 feet of ocean frontage and a preserved dunescape bordering a Peconic Land Trust preserve.
The property also features a pool and greenhouse, and is listed by Corcoran's Tim Davis. Interestingly, the Perlbinder brothers were reportedly seeking $150 million for the estate in the spring, which was being shopped around as a pocket listing. This new listing joins a select group of Hamptons properties priced above $85 million, with two other listings in Water Mill and one in East Hampton.
