etter Homes and Gardens Real Estate The Good Life Group has merged with Don Peterson & Associates, uniting two agencies that cover eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. The deal expands The Good Life Group’s reach across the Omaha metro, creating a network of 10 offices and almost 400 sales professionals.

Don Peterson & Associates, founded in 1956, offers residential, land‑development, commercial and property‑management services in eastern Nebraska. Since 2006, Jennifer Bixby has guided the firm, becoming president and designated broker in 2016. After the merger, the agency will operate under the name Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Don Peterson & Associates.

Bixby explained that as the company neared its 70th anniversary, preserving its legacy was paramount. “Partnering with The Good Life Group gives us national and regional marketing power, technology, a relocation and referral network, and training and professional growth for our agents,” she said. “Combining local expertise with expanded resources will elevate client service and help our agents thrive in a competitive market.”

Tom Simmons, broker‑owner of The Good Life Group, welcomed the union. “Jennifer’s decision to join us honors the legacy she built,” he said. “We share a dedication to client service, integrity, and putting people first. This cultural alignment will drive our joint success into 2026 and beyond. We’re excited to build something stronger together.”
