n Oct 7, 2025, San Antonio approved a $4 billion FY 2026 budget, emphasizing public safety, housing, infrastructure, homelessness services, and employee pay. The Capital Fund receives $1.1 billion, of which $648.8 million is earmarked for airport expansion. The airport will invest $519.6 million in a new terminal, $40.2 million in a parking garage and ground‑transport center, and $21.9 million in temporary loading gates. Streets get $186.9 million for 21 mi of new sidewalks, 11 mi of repairs, full street rebuilds, intersection upgrades, multimodal links, and pedestrian safety. Parks receive $75.8 million for trails, aquifer protection, shade, and a new senior‑community center with a natatorium. Municipal facilities get $71.1 million for solar panels at 42 sites, elevator/escalator upgrades at the Gonzalez Convention Center, a 10,000‑sf recreation building, Ella Austin Community Center renovations, and public‑health facility rehab.
