San Francisco's beloved 'Full House' mansion sells for $6 million

San Francisco's iconic Victorian sold to new owner, preserving piece of pop culture history.

A
piece of television history has changed hands, fetching a cool $6 million for the San Francisco Victorian that served as the exterior of the beloved sitcom "Full House." The 3,737-square-foot property, located on Broderick Street in Pacific Heights, boasts stunning views of the San Francisco Bay and a beautifully manicured private garden.

Built in 1883, the three-story house underwent a major remodel in 2019 by renowned architect Richard Landry, blending modern touches with classic features like bay windows and crown moldings. The interior design is sleek and contemporary, with clean white walls, high ceilings, and cutting-edge fixtures.

The property's most iconic feature, however, remains its exterior façade, which has been preserved to resemble the Tanner family home from the show. Fans of the series will be thrilled to know that the new owners can now call this piece of nostalgia their own, complete with a private backyard featuring concrete slabs bearing handprints and signatures of the show's stars.

The sale marks a significant milestone for the property, which was listed at $6.5 million last June. Rachel Swann of the Swann Group represented both the sellers and buyers in the transaction, praising the new owners as "perfect" stewards of the home's history and charm.

While the final price tag may seem steep to some, it's worth noting that the property is situated among some of San Francisco's most highly valued neighborhoods. The four-bedroom Victorian next door sold for $4.67 million in 2016, making this sale a relatively modest investment in the grand scheme of things.
