12 Park Ave’s penthouse triplex, a 14‑story pre‑war building by J.E.R. Carpenter, has been relisted for $19.9 million after a $22 million bid last year. Edgar Bronfman Jr. and Clarissa bought the unit in 2011 for $15.9 million, the same year Bronfman sold Warner Music Group to Len Blavatnik’s Access Industries for $3.3 billion. The billionaire heir to the Seagram legacy now chairs FuboTV and Waverley Capital, and once pursued a takeover of Paramount.

The home’s sculptural flair is evident from the outset. A semi‑private elevator opens to a dramatic steel staircase that leads to a 28‑foot great room with 23‑foot ceilings, a wood‑burning fireplace, and sweeping skyline views. Artist Gego’s suspended wire sculpture frames the double‑height space, described by AD as an “internal piazza.” A library/den with leather‑paneled walls and a home office/guest bedroom share the same level, while a formal dining room and a chef’s kitchen bathe in natural light.

The main bedroom boasts floor‑to‑ceiling windows that overlook a wrap‑around landscaped terrace on the roof. The terrace offers ample space for greenery and outdoor entertaining. The second floor contains four ensuite bedrooms, a home office, a sizable laundry area, and abundant storage. The top floor is a private suite: a corner bedroom with panoramic views, a windowed dressing room, custom closets, and a spa‑like bath.

Renovated under interior designer Amy Lau, the apartment showcases custom rugs, lighting, and furniture, and serves as a gallery for the Bronfmans’ collection—from pre‑Columbian artifacts to Diego Rivera’s 1928 “Dance in Tehuantepec” and a yellow sofa by Vladimir Kagan. The project was documented in a coffee‑table book that highlighted the artisans’ craftsmanship.

The listing is handled by Ryan Serhant and Donna Strugatz of Serhant.
